Can Batman go undercover?
Bruce is using his old identity of Matches Malone to investigate more of Gotham City and Miracle Molly might have the answers he's looking for.
Yeah, what was even the point of Batman going undercover?
As Matches Malone I mean since James Tynion IV makes his new pet character, Miracle Molly, pretty much figure out Bruce's identity making the last cliffhanger a waste of anticipation and time. As far of the rest of how the rest of the issue goes, is the usual overwritten narration that really tries to sell the idea that "rich people suck!" and that's why Batman needed to lose his fortune to truly learn about his city and its problems which actually makes me miss Tom Taylor's take on the whole idea which is still blunt as hell but doesn't take as many words.
The plot could actually be interesting since there are many segments that progress the story and showcases the multiple sides of this new conflict, except that, again, the dialogue makes every page a chore to read.
Jorge Jimenez' artwork is always impressive with beautiful characters and a kinetic tone that at least makes the issue a joy to see.
Ghostmaker's second feature doesn't make any more excited but at the very least there are some cool concept concerning (Jesus, I can't believe this) Kid Kawaii and is short enough for me to not bother about it aside from the fact that it still tried to sell Ghostmaker and someone interesting. Ricardo Lopez' art is pretty unique with a fluid style that follows the script appropriately.
Mostly a pass. Tired already.
