Can Wonder Woman and her allies face the horde of monsters?
Supernatural creatures continue to appear and is up to Diana to find out a way to escape with her new friends but even if they do so, their problems are far from over.
Well, this was a rather poor way to conclude the "arc".
As I mentioned before, the whole run written by G. Willow Wilson has been quite the disappointment because of how dull it is but this storyarc genuinely started in an interesting way with solid ideas and great art. Sadly, I should have known to not have hope for this book anymore since this conclusion pretty much ruined all the goodwill the early issues created.
This chapter is mostly devoted to action and, as I've said countless times, that's Wilson's weakest aspect and thus the issue feels basically like a big and underwhelming fight scene which of course makes it a pretty fast read almost devoid of content. Not to mention that the issue ends with almost no closure to the themes the arc introduced just to immediately lead into a new one. There are a few solid character moments like when Maggie believes that without her recently found sword she's nothing but aside from that, there's very little to appreciate.
Jesus Merino and Tom Derenick share the pencils and their pretty fitting for this average ending, at least Merino is because the style is not distinctive in the slightlest.
Boy, abandon all hope already.
