Some thoughts about Superman #12

What is the truth behind Krypton?

Superman has realized that many people don't want to follow Rogol Zaar and now Mr. Oz is about to reveal his whole plans.

This pretty much serves as an interlude for a bigger plot-point as it is, I think it presents interesting questions.

Brian Bendis offers a new chapter where he continues the battle between the Superman family and the forces of Rogol. To be honest, the action scenes are very by the numbers and Bendis doesn't even bother to make them interesting in the slightlest, instead focusing on retelling previous events in a way that seems more like a waste of pages which is not much of a surprise considering how decompressed everything has been.

That being said, there are a few twists going on here like the fact that General Zod realizes that Rogol's plans are terrible (just like his character) and that Mr. Oz might not be the person he claims to be which should lead to a few intriguing developments in the next issue.

Ivan Reis remains in art duties and his work is still great but I feel like he's kinda wasted among all the exposition.

Not bad, not great. Let's hope the next one is good at least.
