The Terrifics' battle against God continues.
The team is trying to fight against the terrible forces that have been unleashed and to do so, they will have to stay together more than ever.
I don't think I'm really digging this.
Gene Luen Yang delivers a new installment and the differences between Jeff Lemire's run and his are starting to become more apparent. For one, Yang is keeping the "family" theme that Lemire introduced and is going with appropriate developments with it based on their relationship but it seems like Yang is actually delivering more content that the often decompressed Lemire run lacked.
That being said, Yang's run is less memorable for some reason. Lemire really knew how to create good moments despite that most of his issues were really fast reads and Yang is having trouble offering remarkable scenes, everything is just "okay" with nothing really noticeable. Even the threats are not as interesting as the premise may lead you to believe.
Stephen Segovia handles the art and is solid with expressive characters and clear storytelling.
Average overall, hope it improves.
