Some thoughts about Justice League #26

What is the upcoming story of the Justice League?

J'onn believes he needs to explore his recently found past while Hawkgirl thinks her destiny is to ultimately destroy her lover.

I wish the good moments were more abundant instead of the bad ones.

James Tynion IV is in charge of this issue and he follow Scott Snyder's path as usual. Meaning that there's a lot and I mean A LOT of third person narration that is incredibly heavyhanded and doesn't leave anything to the imagination. It barely progresses the story and is classic example of "tell, don't show", I would even dare to say that it's pretty much fake content because it feels like padding, is even a rather fast read despite of it.

And this is a shame because there are genuinely good scenes here like when the Justice League has to interact with the House of Heroes from the Multiverse and is always cool to see characters like Captain Carrot make an appearance to contrast with more serious superheroes. The contrast between what happens to Martian Manhunter and Hawkgirl also shows a bit of potential but of course, you will have have to get over a ton of narration boxes to enjoy it.

Javier Fernandez' artwork is really on-point though with great storytelling and detail.

Yeah, I wouldn't recommend this. Is not as important as it wants to make you think.
