How can The Flash protect the future?
Barry has become obsessed with what he saw about the Turtle taking over the world and is trying to do his best to stop that from happening but it won't be easy once the future comes back for him.
This storyarc continues and is still pretty successful.
Joshua Williamson offers a new installment and developes both the story and the characters. The character work is pretty strong because Williamson explores the classic themes of the series including moving forward which is emphasized from Barry's desire to save the future while at the same time continuing to live in the past because of what happened to his mother. All of this is reflected on his relationship with Iris and is really appropriate that she's the one who help him get over all of that, even pushing him to save himself considering their whole history.
The plot progresses at a nice pace due that it gives us a bigger insight on the Turtle's mind which at first it seemed like it was going to portray him as a more sympathetic figure only to create a twist to show how twisted he will always be. This also leads to the cliffhanger which promises exciting events in the next issue.
Howard Porter remains in art duties and his work is still wonderful thanks to his kinetic style and attention to detail.
Great stuff, hope the next one is just as good.
