Some thoughts about Justice League Dark #12

The Lords of Order's attack continues.

It seems like nothing can stop the forces of Nabu but Wonder Woman has decided to finally create the ultimate team against the dark.

Well, this is pretty much an interlude issue but it has a few interesting moments.

James Tynion IV delivers a new installment where is pretty much setting things up for the conclusion. The way how all the different supernatural heroes from the DCU are gathered to fight Nabu is admitedly pretty cool and allows for a lot of exciting scenes, the story is preparing all this characters for the final battle in which Wonder Woman finally declares the main mission of the team and makes sense considering their focus on the magical forces.

That being said, it feels a bit empty. Not because of a lack of narration obviously since God forbid there's a Tynion story where things are actually told in a subtle way, there's a lot of dialogue but at the same time very little of it actually progresses the plot or is particularly important aside from what happens at the end. Also, there's a bit of bad characterization concerning Barry Allen since Tynion portrays him almost like an overly-excited kid instead of the smart guy he usually is, basically focusing more on his powers than he actual personality.

Alvaro Martinez' artwork is really good looking thanks to his vibrant style and his gothic tone is still perfect for all of the scenes.

Not bad but hope the conclusion is worthy.
