Some thoughts about Shazam #6

The Shazam family is in trouble.

Billy and Mary have just escaped the Funlands only to find out that Billy's father has returned and that could cause more problems instead of solving them.

This story continues and is still pretty entertaining.

Geoff Johns along with Marco Santucci deliver a new chapter where they progress the ongoing plot. The opening pages show interesting scenes like the battle between Sivana and Black Adam and I must say that I still don't like this more magic-oriented Doctor Sivana, wish he would back to his scientist roots. That being said, the segment showcases a few sub-plots that Johns will most likely develop in the future.

The rest of the issue is mostly devoted to the escape from the Magiclands and a few other plot-points, mainly the return of Billy's dad which seems to have some sort of inspiration from the recent Shazam movie instead of the last classic incarnation by Jerry Ordway, I'm not sure how to feel about this yet but let's see where it goes.

Dale Eaglesham and Scott Kolins share the pencils and their work is pretty solid during their respective segments while following the plot appropriately.

Good read, hope the next one offers more of everything.
