Can the Teen Titans handle a new member?
Wally is still dealing with being fired from the team and to compensate, Damian will have to recruit a new member, Emiko Queen.
Eh, this worked fine enough but not without problems.
For one, Ben Percy continues to play with the ramifications from previous stories by developing the fall out between Damian and Wally. The character work is pretty solid for the most part since it focuses on appropriate developments for most of the cast including how Wally has to handle his new life fighting for Deathstroke and how Damian is trying to make the team stronger in any way possible.
The problem comes in the form of Emiko's inclusion here and that, as usual, comes from the problems with Percy's direction in Green Arrow. Now is pretty evident that Emiko is much older than Damian and that disminishes their encounter since it would be much more appropriate and entertaining to see to little smartmouthed kids fighting than how it was presented now, the decision to make Emiko grow up is something that really goes against her premise as well. The story is nothing to write about either.
Khoi Pham's artwork is okay at times since he follows the story clear enough but his character expressions can be off.
Not bad, not great, hope the next one is better.
