Hawkeye will have to recover her identity.
Madame Masque has been using Kate's body for her own gain and now Kate will have to stop her and try to find one of the most important persons in her life.
Well, this story concluded quite satisfactorily.
Kelly Thompson delivers a new installment where she focuses on the classic character work and comedic tone from this book. The characterization is pretty solid as usual due to the perfect portrayal of Kate along with the interesting parallels that are explored between her and other characters like Madame Masque. All of this is accompanied by really entertaining lines coming from the protagonist and the supporting cast including some self-aware dialogue about what usually happens to superheroes. The title mixes serious stories along with humour pretty nicely.
The plot itself is not that relevant in comparison but it does have its moments like the ongoing mystery about what happened to Kate's mom and her dad's role in all this which will most likely continue to be explored.
Leonardo Romero remains in art duties and once again, his work is ideal for the book thanks to his distinctive style that creates solid expressions and inventive storytelling.
Quite good read, the next one better arrive soon.
