Is Tim Drake the best Batman?
Both Tims have returned to their old lives but one of them is ready to find yet another secret from Batman.
Well, I think I'm starting to dislike this story.
I enjoyed the last couple of chapters that James Tynion IV created for this arc but this one goes with the overglorification of Tim Drake a bit too far. This was also a bit prevalent earlier but here there are constant mentions about how he will be the best Batman, about how smart he is, about how competent he is and really, there's no need for that, most people are happy he's back, why going overboard with it? This pretty much reads like fanfiction.
That's not the only problem since the plot didn't progress that much. There were some reveals but those reveals are focused on such overused idea (Batman keeps secrets) that is just not worthy. Not to mention that the return of Tim is taken with much less emotion that I would have expected. Add the blunt and cringey mentions about the return of Conner and you just get a badly-written comic.
Alvaro Martinez handles the art and he's the highlight here thanks to his beautiful characters and powerful storytelling.
Aside from that, wouldn't recommend this one, just skip it.
