The world is turning into a caricature.
Dick has just find out that his partner has turned into a mutated dog and now the whole army is chasing them while everything around them is getting even crazier.
I really love where Garth Ennis is going with this premise.
As mentioned in the previous issue, Ennis was using the idea of the reinvention of a Hanna Barbera cartoon in a different way than the rest by making it literally clash with the real world and showing how cartoon logic is forced into it. The humour is really good since it relies in such idea and is hilarious to see how normal people react to it and this being Ennis, he obviously includes some political satire here and there.
The character work continues to be solid while not as prominent as in the last chapter, the relationship between the protagonists continues to be developed and it was hilarious to see how the effects are also affecting Dick to the point where he starts talking like the original cartoon character which is also referenced obviously.
Mauricet remains in art duties and his work is one of the best I've seen from him, full of beautiful and expressive characters along with solid storytelling.
Great stuff, hope it continues this way.
