Green Arrow is dead, can the heroes enjoy a bit of peace at least for his funeral?
Different heroes around the world are coming to pay his respects to Oliver Queen including Animal Man, Aquaman and Mister Terrific who suddenly is one of the most important persons of this age. However, despite of trying to avoid a conflict, people can't stop themselves from blaming Firestorm for this and with a good reason since Ronnie Raymond's irresponsibility caused the death of Ollie but somehow Lois Lane believes that there's more than meets the eye here.
The second issue from this ongoing weekly and I must say that this continues to be a quite compelling read.
Brian Azzarello, Jeff Lemire, Dan Jurgens and Keith Giffen continue to focus on the 5 Years Later timeline and showing us a lot of information about the current period as well as upcoming stories in the New 52. Speaking of which, we receive a lot of hints about future plots that may or may not occur in the series outside of this weekly, I like this kind of teases it makes this series much more relevant to the DCU than I thought it would be.
The introduction of Mister Terrific is pretty good, although I would question his characterization a bit. He is, for the lack of a better word, a douche, then again this might eb the angle that they're going for so let's see how this developes.
Jesus Merino is in charge of art duties for this issue and he does a pretty solid job as usual, his style is not exactly distinctive and might seem a bit too "old-school" for some people but his storytelling abilities are quite decent.
Another strong issue for this series, I'm glad to be on board.
