Constantine has done some terrible things in the past and he's going to burn for them.
John is still planning how to attack the Cult of the Cold Flame but he will need to put such plans aside because in the middle of nowhere a strange demon who brings the worst memories of the guilty is threatening every person that comes close to it.
Oh yeah, this is what I'm talking about, another winning issue from this underrated series.
Ray Fawkes concentrates this time in an almost stand-alone story that it's based on a mysterious spirit that is threatening the lives of others by bringing back their mistakes and Constantine is obiously one of them. Fawkes' explores John's origins here and gives him an interesting background about why he became the way he is, it's all around a pretty good tale with an nice twist at the end.
Plus, I really like how the author brings several plot-points from past issues. Yes, he also references the Blight storyline but he brings an interesting sub-plot from an even older issue to this one and makes it play into the current story. Really satisfying ending.
Edgar Salazar is on art duties and his work is excellent, his pencils bring really expressive characters with some quite detalied environments. I wouldn't minf if he becomes the ongoing penciller for this series.
Great issue, you people need to pick-up this series again!
