The Others have been attacked by someone who might actually be more connected to them than what they think.
Sayeh has the same kind of abilities that her sister, Kahina the Seer had and in her visions she's able to predict how futures will end. The Others need to rescue her and find who is actually behind the attacks but not even their combined power might be enough to him.
I must say that I'm pleasently surprised by this issue. I thought that the previous one was solid but nothing that impressive, this chapter on the other hand is a good sample of a well done team book.
Dan Jurgens does a pretty good job at exploring how all of these characters are different from one another, not only in terms of personality but also in abilities and origins, everything is completely on-point with what was previously established by Geoff Johns and John Ostrander and it developes beyond that. Plus, the story progresses pretty satisfactorily and the sub-plots are already being introduced.
The team dynamics are pretty entertaining too. The dialogue flows well and the doses of humour also bring an interesting interaction among the cast while also developing their relationship.
Lan Medina continues in pencils and his work is pretty adequate for this series. His characters are expressive enough to help their depictions and interactions and his storytelling is pretty competent.
Nice improvement over the previous issue. This is actually better than I expected.
