Some thoughts about Hawkman #28

An old enemy is back.

Hath-Set has returned to kill Carter and Shayera for one final time but they might be ready for it this time.

Short but solid chapter.

Robert Venditti is closing the door on this book in an appropriate manner. The return of Hath-Set feels appropriate considering he's wildly known as Hawkman's nemesis and the escalation for such encounter is done decently, particularly due to the conversations between Carter and Shayera which is again, nicely executed.

Mind you, not a lot happens because of it. There are good character moments and a nice cliffhanger but the plot doesn't progress much. Is possible that Venditti is just preparing everything for the final chapter.

Fernando Pasarin's art is fantastic, every scene is full of detail and expression. Love the way he draws the Hawks.

Fine read overall, hope the conclusion is satisfying.
