Some thoughts about Strange Adventures #8

Whatever happened to Aleea Strange?

Alanna can't help but remember their terrible war against the Pykkts and the ultimate cost that brought but there might be more than what she's willing to tell.

Things are getting a bit more predictable but is still interesting.

Tom King continues his story by revealing more details about the background of the main couple. The focus this time goes to the conversation between Alanna and Michael, about what happened in the past and how that is reflected in their current situations. It was nice to see more insight about Michael's sentiments concerning his child, it might not make him a more likable character mind you but is a deeper look into his character. Same for Alanna although this reveals a pretty important detail that pretty much tells you what you should expect, in superhero comics if there's no body, then that person is alive.

The past sequences continue to be pretty exciting and brutal with each new issue while their grim aspects become more similar to the reality of the present while also giving more hints about what's about to come.

Mitch Gerads and Doc Shaner remain in art duties and I'm repeating myself here, but they both do a wonderful job in their respective sections with great storytelling.

Good read, hope the next one offers more revelations,
