Some thoughts about Wonder Woman: Futures End #1

Wonder Woman took the name of the God of War, is time to embrace such title.

Diana has been fighting a long battle against an entity called Nemesis and not even the Gods of Olymous could be enough to stop it. That's not the even her biggest problem though since she will also have to face the man she loves.

So far, this little story is delivering on its promise.

Charles Soule creates a tale set in the Futures End continuity that explores Diana's role as the God of War and brings a pretty good balance between such title and the Wonder Woman one. It works perfectly for the kind of character she is.

Besides it was great to see how that title influence people around the world and they're connected quite nicely with the classic themes of the superheroine.

Soule has also obviously done his research about how to portray most of Diana's supporting cast including old Gods like Hades and new ones like Orion. Everything fits in place.

Rags Morales is in charge of the artwork and while his style might be a bit unrefined at times, it still manages to tell the story competently.

Overall, a solid first start for this story. Now onto Superman/Wonder Woman
