Is the world worth saving?
Jayna is not really feeling the superhero life after being forced to arrest her best friend but now she will have to deal with it since there are people who need her anyway.
This series returns and I admitedly wasn't a fan of the previous story due that I believe Mark Russell didn't reach the highs from his previous works and focused on rather simplistic themes. Here however, he is starting in a promising way once again.
The chapter opens with the Wonder Twins dealing with the ramifications of the last storyline with Zan loving the popularity he gained and Jayna feeling bad about the whole deal. This is perfectly in character and shows how different they are from one another while also depicting their owns perspectives in an understandable way.
There's the also the usual Russell social commentary about people in general and while the issue is centered around a kinda simple theme, I believe is better executed since it shows the compassion one of the characters can have towards a metahuman who has to live in isolation because of his powers which is both funny and heartwarming.
Stephen Byrne returns to pencils and his work is still pretty good looking thanks to his semi cartoony style that gets the best from expressions.
Good run, hope things continue this way.
