Some thoughts about Doomsday Clock #11

What are Ozymandias' plans?

Adrian has come to a world of superpowered people for one single reason, to save both his world and this new one no matter how many people he had to manipulate to do so.

The penultimate chapter is here and as you might imagine this is mostly a set-up for the conclusion but it works for what it tries to accomplish.

The story is centered around the war of Metahumans and how Black Adam is willing to cause even more harm against the U.S.A. As I have mentioned before, the parallels between Doomsday Clock and Watchmen are getting more and more obvious with each new chapter but this one pretty much makes things as transparent as possible up to the point to being too blunt at times but it gets the job done in terms of escalation and preparing everyone for the final installment.

Adrian's full plan is finally revealed as well and once again, he can be a bit too expository during this segment but to be fair, is not too different from how he was portrayed by Alan Moore and his ideas show how manipulative he can be for everyone just to fulfill his objectives. The references to the bigger DCU continue as well and some characters that were a mystery before receive an interesting ending.

Gary Frank remains in art duties and his work is still wonderful in every page thanks to the level of expression, detail and storytelling he provides.

Good read, hope the conclusion is satisfying.
