Some thoughts about Legion of Super-Heroes: Millenium #1

Whatever happened to Rose & Thorn?

Rose is having a strange time, she's apparently lost in the ever changing future and whatever is awaiting for her is not clear yet.

A two-part series is here which is leading to the upcoming Legion of Super-Heroes series and Brian Bendis uses this to explore a few of the concepts he has been creating during his Superman work.

Rose & Thorn is the protagonist of this set-up and why did Bendis use her of all characters as the focus here is everyone's guess but I assume her mental issues helped to cement the erratic nature of the story. That's what happening here, the future is constantly changing with Bendis addressing the multiple reboots the DCU had as well as how that has been altering the timelines which leads to a few fun settings.

Yes, there are quite a few futures here including the Legion one, the Batman Beyond one, the Kamandi one and a last one that is where most likely things will conclude with. Bendis explore each one of these in entertaining ways but at times it seems kinda shallow since there's not much exploration about it aside from the insane perspective of the protagonist.

Jim Lee, Dustin Nguyen, Andrea Sorrentino and Andre Lima Araujo work on a different future segment each and they all do a good job although the transition between each setting can be a bit jarring.

Decent read, hope the final issue is appropriate.
