The Joker might have created the biggest disaster in Gotham.
Batman and Harley are going to confront Joker to ask him about what he just did but they might be too late since Azrael is going to kill one of the most important persons in the city.
Man, this was quite the chapter.
Sean Murphy delivers a new installment where he offers several interesting twists. Despite of the grim and gritty tone this whole saga had, I think one of the strongest aspects is the relationship between the characters, how each one of them interact with one another and you can see that Murphy is having a lot of fun writing all of them. From the fun moments of Harley flirting with Bruce, to the tense scenes when both try their best to not kill the Joker, to how the whole Gotham P.D. have a good time, all of this is really well-done and makes you invested in the cast.
This is on purpose of course since Murphy wants you to care for these characters to prepare you for what's about to come, the latter half is a pretty climactic sequence where all of them have to face the attack of Azrael which ultimately takes a life and the way how this is depicted is really brutal.
This is all thanks to Murphy's art which continues to be masterful due that it's expressive and humourous when it has to and dark and violent when it needs to. It's really great stuff.
Excellent read, hope the next one doesn't take too long.
