Some thoughts about Batman #78

Can Batman and Catwoman's relationship be fixed?

Bruce needs to be stronger to confront Bane and Selina believes the only way to do is by confronting what happened to their wedding first.

This issue could have worked better under any other style.

Tom King delivers a new installment where he plays with the ramifications of the biggest plot-point of his run although that comes with its own tiring consequences. The premise of exploring the relationship between Batman and Catwoman after their failed wedding is appropriate although I would say it's a bit too late for that since we had to endure tons of uninteresting stories to lead up to this point and no matter the execution, the resolution was never going to be satisfying.

And we all know that King's work tends to fail in its execution and this issue doesn't disappoint due that the writer implements his usual unnatural dialogue that fails to create a truly engaging conversation between the two. Is not even the typical "Bat, Cat" lines which are also present here, is also the way how their lines flow that immediately take you out of the story and this is a shame because there are a few moments that could have actually worked if it wasn't for such problem.

Tony Daniel's artwork is gorgeous though with beautiful character models and precise storytelling.

Can't recommend, just let's continue.
