Can Nightwing save his city?
Ric Grayson is still trying to figure out who he truly is but in the meantime, Bludhaven still needs a protector and is going to get it one way or another.
Not gonna lie, I got this issue mostly because of the cover.
As I said in the previous chapter, I digged the opening chapter that Scott Lobdell and Fabian Nicieza created fine enough. This time though, they expand the premise even further and yes, the cover exactly reflects that due that it implements all the previous Nightwing costumes under new roles in a way that makes sense and most likely will help Ric to realize who he truly is at the end.
The characterization is pretty solid due that the writers continue to work on the unique situation the protagonist is dealing with while his new status quo continues to be developed. The issue doesn't have much content though and I feel like it ended just when it was getting good.
Chris Mooneyham handles the artwork and is pretty appropriate with a rather grim tone that fits Bludhaven pretty well and follows the story adequately.
Decent read. Hope to have more plot progression in the next one though.
