Who is controlling Grotesque?
Evan is about to execute his plan but Barbara believes that his good side can win over the being who has been manipulating him all this time.
This storyarc comes to a conclusion and it has been pretty solid as a whole.
Mairghread Scott offers the final chapter where not only she delivers a resolution but also plants many plot-points for the future. Again, the way how Grotesque is developed here makes the villain much more interesting than ever. Yes, he's a new character who took the mantle of an old rogue but at the same time this allowed to create a much more understandable and sympathetic character who even managed to show his human side towards the end.
And the sub-plots that begin here are really interesting. Barbara's condition is becoming worse and worse and this most certainly prove to be an important part of the story, the character work that this creates between Babs and her father is also really compelling. Not to mention that the new villain who has been manipulating these events is bound to keep appearing.
Paul Pelletier is in charge of art duties and his work is still competent as ever with quite expressive character modelsand precise storytelling.
Satisfying storyline overall. Hope things continue this way.
