Can Batman work alongside his worst enemy?
One of the Penguin's loved ones has just died and that might push him to finally fulfill some of the plans that have been prepared for Batman.
After so many underwhelming stories, is pleasent to see something passable at least.
Tom King arrives with a new storyarc featuring the Penguin. The plot is focused on how much some of the pets the villain has actually matters to him and to be honest, that seems on-point at the very least due that I see Cobblepot caring more about penguins than actual humans. This kind of direction allows for a plot development that has been happening for a while now, one that was teased at the end of issue 50 and one that is still immensely ridiculous because I still don't buy that Bane did all of those things.
The thing that separates this issue from previous ones the most though, is the content. There's a lot more progression compared to the last few entries and puts all the key pieces in place to force Batman to work with the Penguin and shows how dangerous the villain can be.
Mikel Janin's art is amazing as usual with a beautiful and wonderful storytelling that elevate the script much more.
Not bad overall but as usual with King, the real challenge is how this will end.
