What is the connection between the past and the present?
Optimus can't help but remind the steps he took to know more about the world around him while he's trying to fight for the best of both Cybertronian and humans.
Once again, this series offers a lot of content in every way.
John Barber brings a new chapter where he focuses on the multiple members of the cast and delivers enough scenes for each one of them. The characterization is pretty solid with the spotlight going to Optimus and his constant flashbacks that are connected to their current situation but Barber also manages to distribute the issue in several other important characters like Thundercracker, Marissa, Jazz, Soundwave and Prowl. Best of all, all of these scenes are pretty different from one another which brings a lot of variety to the plot.
Plus, the amount of sub-plots being developed here is huge. All the characters who appear have their own side of the story that is progressing along with the main plot, it gives a much bigger scale to the chapter.
Kei Zama's artwork might be growing on me. I'm appreciating more and more the complexity of the designs and character expressions.
Solid stuff, hope the next one arrives soon.
