Is The Flash ready for the return of The Rogues?
Barry doesn't know what to think about his former enemies so he's decided to learn more about them but by doing so he might be ignoring the bigger picture.
WOW! I was pleasently surprised by this one!
Joshua Williamson utilizes this chapter to open a new storyline clearly focusing on The Rogues but he does it in a pretty interesting way. For one, he starts developing their presence by showing the investigation that Barry conducts which reveals interesting aspects about them and how relevant they have been to Central City which ultimately leads to the ending and what it represents. Is a perfect example of build-up done right.
The characterization is also pretty solid. Williamson is following the steps of Geoff Johns pretty closely based on his reinventions of The Rogues including their backstories and their connections to the rest of the people from the city. Is great for fans of the characters since there's a lot of research going on here.
Carmine Di Giandomenico handles the artwork and is pretty kinetic during the speed scenes while also showing a pretty interesting style.
One of the best issues so far, nice job overall.
