The Justice League and Suicide Squad's last stand is here.
Eclipso has gained control over most of both teams and is up to the rest to stop him once for all but even if they do, things are from over.
Well, this series served its purpose pretty well I would say.
Since the beginning this miniseries was promoted as a set-up for the upcoming Justice League of America book as well as creating new plot-threads for the DCU. Joshua Williamson has done a wonderful job at making this simple premise much more interesting than one could have anticipated and this issue is no exception. Mind you, Eclipso ends-up being defeated pretty quickly but not in a way that seems unsatisfying and makes sense considering what's about to happen.
Yes, this chapter is pretty much set-up for upcoming events around the DCU, not only JLA but several important stories are going to be launched from now on and a lot of them seem interesting. Williamson teases a lot of character appearances and arcs coming in other books which hopefully will be well executed.
Howard Porter handles the artwork and is decent but a bit rushed at times, not with the usual polish you would expect from him.
Better than one would expect from the concept, well done.
