Who is truly the culprit of the recent murders?
Batman and Catwoman are finally rebuilding their relationship but it might be a bit too late for that since the killer is about to get free.
Well, things are going pretty much the way I expected.
It was evident since the beginning that there was something more behind the case of Catwoman killing 237 terrorists (Yes, I've been complaining about it a few issues in but later King pretty much left hints about where the story was actually going), the thing is that I don't know if the twist is much better. It turns out that Selina is not the actual serial killer, is Holly Robinson, one of Catwoman's old supporting cast. This pretty much comes out of nowhere with a little backstory that tries to justify such change of character but is not really enough.
There are a few good points though, I did like the metacommentary about how Bruce and Selina remember the first time they met differently, about how Bruce remembers their Golden Age origin and Selina remembers their Year One which is a creative idea admitedly. The thing is that King's dialogue doesn't really get better with him trying to force his style so much into the script that many of the characters still talk in unnatural ways and he tries so hard to sound profound that you just can't take it seriously.
Oh, and Bat, Cat, one can't ignore that.
Mitch Gerards remains in art duties and his work is still quite good looking with a vibrant style that gets the best from character expressions.
Aside from that, I still don't think this is a well-written story. Easy to pass.
