Some thoughts about Dial H for Hero #6

A city of superheroes has appeared.

The H-Dial has given everyone in Metropolis superpowers and now both Miguel and Summer will have to stop this before it gets worse.

Another chapter, another enjoyable read.

Sam Humphries offers a new installment where he goes crazy with the superhero parodies, even crazier than before. There are references to Alex Ross' work, Frank Miller's work, manga, indie superheroes, Marvel supeheroes, etc. All of them present entertaining pastiches for the protagonists to face and makes the issue really chaotic in the best way possible.

Plus, there's a fair amount of character work once that Miguel realizes he needs to fight against his own fears and gain confidence to become like his biggest hero which concludes in a pretty satisfying way based on his backstory.

Joe Quinones remains in art duties and I'm sure this book wouldn't be half as good without him because his art is extremely flexible, able to capture other tones perfectly and showcasing many different kind of characters.

Good stuff, hope the next one arrives sooner.
