Some thoughts about Red Hood: Outlaw #30

Red Hood is about to face new mysteries.

Jason has arrived into a new place in which he will be suddenly kidnapped and learn what has been happening to a few people he used to know.

This is a solid chapter but not without flaws.

Scott Lobdell arrives with a new installment where he explores a few interesting elements. The plot progresses at a nice pace due that Jason continues to investigate everything that has been leading him to his place which will force him to encounter familiar faces, some that should be immediately recognized by Batman fans and there's especially a character towards the end that Teen Titans readers will immediately recognize, one that is connected to the writer, has been absent since Rebirth and explains why we haven't seen him in a while.

Then again, the execution can be a bit uneven. Sometimes the dialogue gets awkward which is classic complaint with Lobdell but this hasn't been this apparent so far. Not to mention that there's a scene that reveals the whereabouts of Bizarro and Artemis but kinda breaks the pacing.

Pete Woods remains in art duties and his work is quite good with clear expressions and storytelling.

Not bad, just hope the next one is better.
