Some thoughts about Justice League #15

Whatever happened to Hawkman?

Katar Hol has apparently come back to life and now the Justice League will have to figure out what's actually happening in Thanagar.

This was a transition issue for the most part.

Scott Snyder and James Tynion IV deliver a new installment where they explore more of the nature of Thanagar. There are a few seemingly interesting ideas going on here based on worldbuilding, the idea behind New Thanagar and the return of Katar Hol makes sense but at the same time, it makes the whole planet pretty much fake so I don't really know if I should qualify it as "good" worldbuilding and makes me feel a little disappointed that they won't allow for some characters to return.

Also, despite of how much narration there's in this issue (as expected from these writers), the plot doesn't progress much and it feels like they're just setting-up the story for the conclusion in the next issue. I feel like this arc could have easily concluded here.

Jim Cheung and Stephen Segovia share the pencils and they do a solid job during their respective scenes.

Should have been better, let's see how things end.
