Some thoughts about Superman #14

Who are the Gatherers?

Justice League Incarnate has arrived to Superman's Earth to stop others like him from being captured by these strange beings that are attacking the Multiverse.

Multiplicity officially begins. This is technically a sequel to Grant Morrison's Multiversity and so far it seems like is following the right path for the most part.

Peter Tomasi and Patrick Gleason open the story appropriately with the arrival of an injured Superman to warn Clark about the Gatherers and their plans to collect more Supermen. The introduction of Justice League Incarnate makes a lot of sense and fortunately the writers don't forget that they're handling a different Superman from the one who made contact to some of the members from the team which gives a nice sense of continuity.

However, this issue felt a bit too short and decompressed. The creator could have included a few more details into the plot to give the issue more content and I fear this is going to be the trend for the rest of the story.

Ivan Reis handles the artwork and is appropriate due to his contribution to Multiversity and it looks beautiful with gorgeous characters and scenarios.

Solid but hope the next one offers more of it.
