Some thoughts about Odyssey of the Amazons #1

The history of the Amazons is rich.

Before Wonder Woman appeared, there was a group of Amazons who fought for the survival of their race as well to help others who needed them.

Mixed thoughts about this one.

I appreciate the effort behind this, the premise handled by Kevin Grevioux is pretty interesting on paper. About exploring the past of the race of the Amazons before the appearance of Diana and how they connected with one another. The worldbuilding is solid here by creating a link between the nature of the Amazons and other different cultures to give a richer experience about where all of them come from. The attempt of establishing new characters is also interesting.

The thing is that, as a story, I don't find it particularly interesting. It does have its moments but nothing really that makes me invested into where they're going, speaking of which, the set-up doesn't really make me invested in these characters either since they don't show truly unique traits, they're not unlikable, they're just not that compelling.

Ryan Benjamin's artwork is solid with a pretty vibrant style that is especially useful during action scenes.

Not bad but I'm not sure if I will continue this one, wish it would have been better.
