Some thoughts about Blue Beetle #5

Nobody messes with Blue Beetle's family.

The mysterious being who has been attacking other people has come from Jaime but first he's planning to go for one of his loved ones.

This was fun once again fortunately.

Keith Giffen offers a new installment where he focuses on several of the plot-points he created so far, particularly characters. Both heroes and villains are implemented here in an entertaining way while showcasing the kind of person that Jaime is, about how much he cares about his loved ones which has always been one of his classic traits.

Plus, there are nice references here like the reappearance of Doctor Fate, Sugar and Spike and Teri being the person I suspected she was. I guess Giffen wants to continue some of his unfinished work here.

Scott Kolins handles the artwork and is solid in some scenes with a lot of detail for the characters and settings.

Enjoyable overall, I don't think it had a lot of plot but it was still a nice read.
