Some thoughts about Future State: Aquaman #2

Can the Aquaman family escape?

Jackson thought that Andy was dead but in fact, she was looking for her all of this time and only together they can survive.

This story comes to a conclusion and it has been an enjoyable ride overall.

Brandon Thomas changes things a bit for this final issue. While the first chapter was centered around Jackson and his belief that he lost Andy, this one is focused on Andy herself and what she had to do to survive and prepare herself to rescue the only family she has left. Is a pretty solid twist and allows for a compelling sort of training montage for Andy while showing us more of her own character.

The story is fast-paced and offers a decent amount of content as well. There are cool references too like how Andy replaces her leg with one made of water which reminds me of the time where her father replaced his hand. The connection between Jackson and Andy is further emphasized and makes you buy that they're pretty close and care for their relationship.

Daniel Sampere's art is pretty solid with expressive characters and a beautiful vibrant look. I especially like how he makes Jackson look like Jason Momoa.

Good read, hope to see more of these characters.
