Even Gotham City is against Batman.
Jace is trying to save people accussed of murder despite that the whole system is hunting them but this might be one of his biggest mistakes.
After the somewhat underwhelming Superman of Metropolis, I'm glad that there are other Future State titles that I can enjoy.
John Ridley continues his story about the new Batman by further developing the different dilemmas he has to face along with the conflict with his own family. Once again, the writing is on-point with just the right lines to get to the point (which shouldn't be so hard but Superman of Metropolis taught me otherwise). This allows for interesting and diverse scenarios where the anti-Vigilante organization tries to deal with Batman, how Jace's family react to the current situation and how even people he tries to save are not that good.
Laura Braga's art is pretty decent with expressive characters and clear storytelling.
The second segment is about the Outsiders written by Brandon Thomas which, again, is basically a better version of Bryan Hill's Outsiders with proper plot and content aside from the character work which is pretty interesting considering the changes that happened to the whole team and offers cool moments concerning their dynamics. Sumit Kumar's artstyle is pretty unique and really creative in terms of storytelling.
Finally Paul Jenkins brings the end of his Arkham Knights feature by showcasing the relationships between the different villains and anti-heroes from the team, a bit overwritten overall but it doesn't really ruin the read and creates good character work. Jack Herbert's art is pretty detailed and vibrant.
Good entry overall, can't wait for the next one.
