Can Harley Quinn save Gotham City?
Harley is out of Arkham and trying to fight Black Mask the best way she can but the Scarecrow has other plans for them.
Yeah, this was pretty underwhelming overall.
Stephanie Phillips concludes this Harley Quinn story and makes me realize why I didn't care so much about it in the first place, is barely a Harley Quinn story. The plot revolves around Harley, the Scarecrow and Black Mask but while the latter two have kinda appropriate roles based on their personalities, Harley doesn't, her classic sense of humour is severely missing and the little jokes there are are not really funny.
Worst of all is that the plot is not really a good fit for her. The idea of saving Gotham from Black Mask is something that could be applied for much every other character and Harley barely does anything different from your typical hero to justify her presence here, let alone her starring role.
The most appealing aspect here is Simone Dimeo and Toni Infante's artwork which has a really vibrant and kinetic anime-inspired style and if there's a complaint I have about it is that at times is tough to follow but damn, does it look good.
Aside from that, pretty forgettable. Writing lacked personality.
