The whole team has been manipulated all this time and the only one able to face Darkseid is Jessica Cruz but she might not be enough to defeat the reborn New God.
Hey, this was yet another solid entry admitedly.
Dan Abnett offers new installment where he finally delivers the true return of Darkseid. The escalation to the moment where the Lord of Apokolips is reestablished is well-handled thanks to the dialogue (which can be a bit heavyhanded at times but still gets the job done to make things seem more important) and how most of the Justice League ended-up being controlled by Darkseid.
This is even more reflected on Jessica who was the only one able to see what was happening since the beginning and now is forced to confront Darkseid on her own. This leads to solid moments of characterization and interaction between the two characters up to the inevitable end which makes me wonder where things will go now.
Will Conrad is in charge of the pencils and he does a pretty good job at making the scope of the moments seem bigger with a polished and vibrant style.
