Why is Leviathan doing all this?
Batman's fight against Red Hood ended abruptly but their investigation might have been wrong after all. Now the real culprit is preparing their next attack.
This series continues and once again, I'm genuinely surprised about how solid it still is.
Brian Bendis offers a new chapter where he further developes the ongoing mystery about who is Leviathan and presents a few interesting aspects along the way. The idea that Jason was the one behind the mask was clearly just a distraction and I'm glad that was the case since that's not the direction I want for the character but most importantly, the writer managed to get solid moments of characterization concerning Jason's personality and his relationship with Batman which is reflected on the rest of the cast as well. The dialogue also helps to depict this nicely.
The plot progresses at a nice pace since there are hints here and there about where the story is actually going and gives us a few more clues about who is actually the one responsible for this while delivering exciting moments.
If I had a complaint is that I don't necessarily like the way how Bendis portrays Green Arrow. Is not that there's anything particularly bad but there isn't anything particularly remarkable either, not even a glance of his characteristic flaws and most of it is just at face value.
Alex Maleev handles the art and is really solid thanks to his gritty style that makes the book seem more grounded.
Good read, hope next one is just as enjoyable.
