Can Hal Jordan fight one of his old friends?
Hal's infiltration among the Black Stars has forced him to face Adam Strange and now he will have to take a difficult decision if he wants to maintain his cover.
Another chapter, another solid read.
Grant Morrison offers a new installment where he continues his ongoing story about the Green Lanterns Vs. the Blackstars. There are a few predictable yet enjoyable twists in the plot, particularly concerning the battle between Hal and Adam which goes as well as you expect considering that Hal is supposedly betraying the Corps. Speaking of which, I was expecting a bit more of worldbuilding about Rann considering this is Morrison we're talking about but alas, this doesn't happen.
That being said, Morrison does offer a few of his esoteric concepts during the story that makes it bigger in scale, particularly during the most suspenseful moments. Not to mention that Morrison's affection to obscure ideas brings back a pretty forgotten character of the Green Lantern mythos towards the end.
Liam Sharp's artwork continues to be fine, a bit messy during the storytelling as usual but he knows how to depict impressive moments.
Good read, hope the next one offers more worldbuilding.
