Is this their last dance?
Batman is ready to celebrate his last moments with Catwoman even though all of that might not be real. Meanwhile, Bane is preparing the next step in his plan.
Believe it or not, things are getting even cringier.
Tom King offers a new installment where he finally makes clear what has been happening all this time. Mind you, as I stated before, just by making things "clear" it doesn't necessarily make things "better". The current dreams Batman had were obviously made by Bane and we actually get a kinda interesting resolution concerning Bruce and Selina's relationship but it all comes after enduring a never ending sequence of the classic Tom King's horrific dialogue along with a bunch of his typical "Bat, Cat" interaction that takes me out of the story.
But that's not even the worst part, no, the worst part is the encounter between Bane and Thomas Wayne from Flashpoint. Yes, Bane is supposedly the "mastermind" who has been manipulating all of these events but as I mentioned before, is incredibly hard to believe, especially with a Bane who speaks as badly as this one. In fact this whole fight is just a couple of characters talking with lines that King believes are "cool" but they're more predictable and embarrasing than anything else. Not to mention that I would have expected an actual explanation about how Bane contacted Thomas in the first place, this should have been actually cooler than it was.
Yanique Paquette's artwork is amazing though, from both a realistic and esoteric perspective. Tons of polish and beautiful characters.
Jesus Christ, just finish for the sake of everyone.
