Can Catwoman escape from the Penguin?
Selina has been hired by one of the biggest criminals in Gotham and now she will have to convince him to let her go.
This issue had a lot more content than usual thankfully.
Joelle Jones returns to the series to deliver the ramifications of the encounter between Selina and the Penguin. While the initial premise sounds like the issue is going to deal mainly with the conflict between the two, the truth is that this is just a little segment of the whole story and while the fight is important, is not really where the focus goes.
The focus in fact, goes mostly to the interactions that Selina has with the rest of the new cast and this is good because it tells us more about the new dynamics Selina has to handle which gives us a bigger context about the world she has to live on now and makes it more interesting. Not to mention that it gives us more bang for our buck.
Fernando Blanco handles the art and is pretty solid from a style and especially storytelling perspective due that he's able to depict the script perfectly.
Good read, hope the next one arrives soon.
