Some thoughts about Superman/Wonder Woman #29

The Trinity will have to stop the threat of the new Superman

Superman, Batman and Wonder Woman are trying to save the Kents from the deranged clon. However, their combined forces might not be enough.

Yet another chapter that didn't work so well.

Peter Tomasi continues his story focusing on the Trinity and how they fight against the new deranged Superman. There are a lot of plot-points being developed here like the true identity of the villain, the secrets that the old Superman was keeping from his family and Supergirl being treated in a lab. All of these sub-plots are apparently building up for the new direction of the Superman books.

However, the actual story is lacking. Tomasi's dialogue can be pretty awkward ("No one disgraces the S shield!") and the action is not that engaging. Plus, some of the developments seem a bit forced and rushed.

Jorge Jimenez handles the artwork and is pretty solid aside from some weird-looking scenes here and there.

If this is the end of this book then is simply not a great one sadly.
