Some thoughts about Aquaman #52

Aquaman's battle against Dead Water is coming to an end one way or another.

Arthur is decided to confront the Scavenger for his crimes but the creature he helped to create wants both of them dead.

This issue marks yet another conclusion and I would say it worked decently.

Dan Abnett concludes this volume by exploring more of the connection between Dead Water and the Scavenger. The characterization is solid with the Scavenger acting the way he should based on Geoff Johns' portrayal about a person who only cares about hunting treasures and disregards the lives of others.

Dead Water continues to be an interesting antagonist until the end where he show some glances of humanity which are clearly portrayed in story.

Vicente Cifuentes handles the artwork and he gets the job done but it looks a bit rushed at times and while the storytelling is clear enough, is not particularly creative.

Is not a great ending really but it manages to close the story in an appropriate way while preparing the character for the new series.
