Some thoughts about Starfire #12

An era for Starfire is about to end.

Kory has enjoyed her time in her new home but she realizes that nothing last forever and she will have to leave soon but not before she celebrates with her friends one last time.

First of all, that cover is awesome. Amanda Conner always knows how to depict an entire run in a single page.

Second, this is quite an appropriate ending.

Jimmy Palmiotti and Amanda Conner conclude this volume by bringing a sense of closure to all the different plot-points they created during this series, particularly the relationships between Kory and the rest of the cast. The characterization works wonderfully due to the different interactions between the characters which show how strong their bonds have become.

The lighthearted tone of the series is perfectly represented here thanks to the dialogue, portrayals and dynamics that made it so enjoyable. It seems like everything has come full circle.

Elsa Charretier handles the artwork and is still quite appealing thanks to the distinctive style which brings lots of expressive characters and solid storytelling.

Sad to see this series go, going to miss it a lot.
