Some thoughts about The Flash #52

The Flash's end is about to arrive.

The Riddler has managed to defeat Barry and is up to his friends and the Rogues to try to save him and the rest of Central City.

Guess what? Another series is ending and fortunately this is not a bad issue per se but is not particularly impressive.

Van Jensen brings the final chapter of the series by showcasing a lot of the characters he along with Robert Venditti have been using during the course of their run including obviously Barry, Wally and the Rogues. All of them manage to play a part in this story and actually Jensen does an admirable effort to fix some things like bringing back Heatwave to life and making Glider awake from her coma to basically make the Rogues ready for the new series.

I still find the inclusion of The Riddler a bit off but at least he's portrayed adequately and proves to be an interesting antagonist. The dialogue and ideas are not that great but they are serviceable.

Jesus Merino continues in art duties and he gets the job done but once again, his art is not really distinctive, creative nor especially beautiful.

Thankfully not one of the worst issues from this run but I'm hoping better things for the next creative team.
