How can Harley help Ivy?
The Floronic Man is coming for Pamela and Harley will have to do her best to save her, even visit one of her old colleagues.
Not really feeling this so far.
Jody Houser brings a new installment where she plays with the ramifications of the last one with the Floronic Man hunting Ivy. There are a few things to enjoy here like the dynamic between Harley and Ivy which is decently done and their conversations are natural enough.
... And that's pretty much it. While the interactions between the two are decent enough, they're not engaging enough. For example, one would think their dynamic would be funnier as it was presented by Paul Dini and Amanda Conner/Jimmy Palmiotti in the past and yes, there are a few jokes here and there but they're not really funny. Most importantly though, they don't have like a romantic couple which even in the early days of Conner & Palmiotti's run was pretty obvious, they behave mostly like friends which at this point is just wrong.
The plot is also barebones with very little progression in what's actually happening aside from a few cameos.
Adriana Melo's artwork is wonderful though, she depicts really expressive and beautiful characters and the storytelling is precise.
Kinda boring overall, not sure if I should continue.
