Can Frankenstein defeat his archenemy again?
Melmoth has returned and now is ready to take over the Multiverse and the only hope Frankenstein has is to reunite the monsters in Gotham to help him.
This story continues and is still pretty solid.
Steve Orlando delivers a new installment that explores more about Frankenstein's mission to stop Melmoth. As I've mentioned before, Melmoth being the main antagonist of this story makes a lot of sense, not only because of Frankenstein's inclusion but also because of Orlando's love for Grant Morrison's work, Seven Soldiers being the main one here obviously. This leads to an interesting gathering between the different monsters in Gotham and Orlando does know how to portray most of them.
There are a few insteresting scenes like how Orca is trying to regain her humanity with the only connection she had with it and Killer Croc trying to have a normal life after being a free man due to his work on the Suicide Squad but his own condition gets in the way obviously. This is appropriate character work.
Amancay Nahuelpan handles the art and is good looking and bizarre when it needs to with a decent sense of storytelling.
Good read, hope things stay this way.
